About

Prof. Oluwaseun Oyekola is Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Cape Peninsula University of Technology. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cape Town, an M.Sc. in Biochemistry from Rhodes University and a B.Sc. (Hons) from the University of Ibadan, and his research covers resource recovery from waste materials, renewable energy and the bioremediation of wastewater, with more than sixty publications.

He is a co-author on both green-synthesis papers: the stabilised iron nanoparticles from acid mine drainage and Rooibos tea in ACS Omega, and the bimetallic FeMn nanoparticles for azo-dye degradation. I am grateful for his guidance in my first years of research, when I was still learning how to turn an idea into a defensible result.

Working on something that overlaps?

If your research touches the same questions, I would like to hear about it — whether that is a joint paper, a shared sample set, or a conversation about where the work is going.
